The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, as the Underground Auto Electrician, you will be repairing and maintaining an extensive fleet of trucks, loaders, drills and other underground equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Service and maintain mobile mining equipment air conditioning systems
  • Maintain mobile plant and equipment for underground mining operations to promote strong equipment availability
  • Fault finding - inspect, identify and diagnosis of mechanical malfunctions
  • Comply with all workplace safety regulations, site policies and procedures
About You - Skills & Qualifications
  • Auto Electrical trade qualification
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in underground mining industry working on heavy machinery or a similar field 
  • Well-developed fault finding skills
  • Air conditioning accreditation and experience essential
  • Experience with Sandvik underground development & production drills (highly desirable)
  • Experience with Caterpillar 2900 loaders and Sandvik LH 621 Loaders (highly desirable)
  • Experience with Sandvik and CAT trucks (highly desirable)
  • High standard of work quality
  • Be self-motivated and have a team orientated approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Current Manual drivers licence

The Operation
Tritton Copper Operations employs more than 400 people and is in Hermidale in Western New South Wales.  Tritton has three underground copper mines (Tritton, Avoca Tank and Murrawombie) and the current mine plan for Tritton extends to FY2030.
