Title: Automotive Electrician 

Work location: Solomon 

• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7 days / 7 nights / 7 R&R - FIFO Ex Perth

The successful applicant will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of Large Scale Ancillary equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on a HME Mining Fleet with particular focus on safety, quality and efficiency.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Maintenance of large-scale mining equipment (Ancillary Machinery)
• Diagnostics & Fault Finding
• Workshop and Field duties
• Work in conjunction with all Mobile Maintenance teams to achieve 100% scheduled compliance.
• Ensure all activities undertaken are carried out in accordance with company safety policy and procedures

 Qualifications and skills required:

• Australian recognized Automotive Electrician Trade Certificate
• Previous experience working in a mining or heavy industry
• Mobile Plant experience is essential specifically experience working on Caterpillar D10T/D11T Dozers, 854K wheel Dozers, 777 and 785 trucks, 16 & 24m Graders, 994H and 994K Loaders & Komatsu WA1200 Loaders
• High regard for safety
• Forklift, and Dogging tickets (desirable)
• Current HR Drivers License
