Automation Technology Specialist

Work Location: 

Perth, WA. Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Fortescue’s Automation Team is looking an Automation Technology Specialist to join the team to assist defining the AHS (Autonomous Haulage System) Product Roadmap, aligning with technology platform and decarbonisation objectives. Working with Automation stakeholders to ensure future growth of the AHS Product aligns to the AHS Product vision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Engaging Subject Matter Experts to define the business value of upcoming products.
• Collaborate to define the AHS Product Roadmap, aligning with technology platform and decarbonisation objectives.
• Define the AHS Product vision.
• Work closely with Automation stakeholders ensuring the system allows for future growth of the AHS Product.
• Work with Product Validation Team to ensure validation plans and criteria align with the AHS product roadmap.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Deep and broad experience in the use and application of AHS and/or ADS on Mine Sites either in large scale mining operations or dispatching operations including other subcomponents.
• Advanced Level in Microsoft suite of programs and other corporate programs, combines with a passion for technology.
• Deep understanding of key operational and strategic value drivers in AHS operations.
• Demonstrated experience dealing with highly confidential matters.
• Ability to work in a team and independently to achieve common goals with a strong attention to detail.
