Automotive Electrician

Work Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D7N14R - FIFO Ex Perth

Fortescue is seeking qualified and experienced Automotive Electricians.

You will be required to carry out the safe execution of scheduled maintenance and repair to a range of large-scale mining equipment supporting Fortescue's mining operations. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on mining fleet with particular focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Maintenance of large-scale mining equipment
  • Diagnostics & fault finding
  • Workshop and pit duties as required
  • Work in conjunction with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance.
  • Ensure FMG and site operations procedures and policies are followed.

 Qualifications and skills required:

  • Australian recognised trade certificate.
  • Previous experience working on production mining equipment
  • Mobile plant experience is essential
  • High regard for safety
  • Heavy Rigid Driver’s License (desirable)
