Our Opportunity

Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 7D/7N/14R – FIFO ex Perth

As an Auto Electrician in our Trucks Department at Fortescue’s Solomon Project (CAT 793), you’ll play a vital role in keeping our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) performing at its best. Your expertise will help maximise reliability and efficiency across our fleet, directly supporting safe, high-performing operations while contributing to Fortescue’s forward-thinking sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and servicing on large-scale Mobile Mining Equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults with precision and efficiency
  • Contribute across both workshop and field (pit) environments, supporting operational needs as required
  • Collaborate closely with mobile maintenance teams to achieve full schedule compliance and keep operations running smoothly
  • Uphold Fortescue’s safety standards, procedures and site policies in everything you do

Qualifications and Experience

  • Australian recognised Automotive Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Valid C class license
  • High level of safety awareness and orientation
  • Heavy Mobile Equipment experience is essential
  • Experience with OEM diagnostic tooling highly advantageous
  • Experience using suite of Microsoft programs and applications such as (Excel, word, PowerPoint etc.)
