Autonomous Drill Controller

Work Location: Fortescue Centre; Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: 4D:4N:8R

We are currently looking for experienced drillers who are looking for a change to join our team at Fortescue’s Centre in Perth.  You will have sound experience in operational drilling in open cut mining on platform drill rigs with a passion and enthusiasm to autonomous mining fleet. Operating across multiple sites, you will be responsible for the safe and productive use of the autonomous drilling system and managing multiple drilling areas simultaneously.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Efficient pattern planning and sequencing utilising multiple machines
• Manage all required Time Usage Model (TUM) data for accurate reporting
• Maintaining positive communication with key site based and Perth stakeholders
• Recording consumable usages
• Assist in training of personnel
• Willing to attend site as required

 Qualifications and skills required:

• Passion and commitment to autonomous mining fleet
• +3 years operational drilling experience in open cut mining on platform drill rigs
• Experience with "Flanders" autonomous drill system highly desirable 
• Must be able to multitask on several activities/priorities at the same time
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Intermediate ability to use Microsoft Suite i.e. Word and Excel
