Autonomous Infield Builder - Supervisor

  • Fortescue’s Eliwana mine is located on the traditional lands of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people.

Roster:

8D/6R/7N/7R – (Day/Night) FIFO ex Perth

Critical to the success of Fortescue’s operation of Autonomous Haulage System (AHS), this role is accountable for the management of teams overseeing the effective utilization of the Autonomous Road Train Haulage and HME Fleet using Genesys Fleet Management Systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring maximum utilization of machines to drive safety, productivity and costs.
  • Manage team leave coverage and skills to enable effective use of fleet to achieve 24hr plan
  • Deliver team upskilling and development packages of safe systems across both fleet of Road Trains and Infield builders
  • Communicate effectively with Mining Supervisors/ Coordinators and Control Team
  • Build virtual mine model ensuring actual matches virtual.
  • Responsible for mine model optimization to achieve the highest throughput in dynamic areas.
  • Plan and manage all dynamic areas in conjunction with the two-week plan.
  • Management of all virtual zones.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Multi Combination license (MC) is essential 
  • Significant experience driving road trains 
  • >12 months in a leadership role overseeing teams and supporting the development of capabilities.
  • Previous experience working in the mining or heavy industry is desirable.
  • High regard for safety
  • Good Computer Literacy skills
  • Must be able to multitask on several activities/priorities at the same time.
  • Proficiency of Fleet Management Systems is desirable.
  • Passion for Innovation and Technology.
