About The Role

We are looking for a Belts/Scraper Maintainer to perform daily inspections, monitoring and maintenance of conveyors across the Greater Tom Price Region processing plants. This role will also require you to prepare and carry out both shutdown and breakdown scraper maintenance and assist with other conveyor maintenance teams as required, within the Tom Price fixed plant area. This role is a great opportunity for someone with a strong scraper maintenance background to work in a safe and collaborative team environment.

Working 8 days on, 6 off and reporting to the Conveyor Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Daily scraper inspections to maintain belt cleaning efficiency and identify / rectify faults.
  • Determining the method of repair and or replacement of belt cleaning components
  • Carrying out shutdown scoping, Sourcing parts in preparation for shutdowns and playing a key role in the execution of shutdown activities
  • Operating mechanical and hand tooling required to maintain belt cleaning equipment.
  • Ensuring safe work procedures are followed at all times.
  • Consistently executing all tasks to a high standard and adhering to quality assurance requirements
  • Assisting the conveyor maintenance teams as required
  • Identify and encourage improvements to plant, process, and procedures.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team  
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset  
  • Demonstrated experience working in fixed plant conveyor scraper maintenance, including installations, removals, adjustments and general maintenance.
  • A current and valid C-Class manual Driver’s Licence
  • High Risk Work Licenses (rigging, forklift and EWP is desirable)
  • HR truck licence (desirable)
  • Experience using SAP and Microsoft applications such as excel desirable.
