The Telfer Gold Mine is located in the Great Sandy Desert in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia and produces copper and gold. Macmahon will continue to deliver the surface drill and blast, load and haul, mobile maintenance and rehandle mine functions until 2023 with a possibility of extension. Telfer camp has seen recent upgrades to facilities including refreshed dining, wet mess and gym.

We are currently looking for two experienced Boilermakers to join our Maintenance Team at Telfer on a on a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster, flying in and out of Perth. Reporting to Maintenance Supervisor, Boilermaker is responsible for building, repairing and fabricating components for all plant and equipment.
Daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Repairing and fabricating any metal components;
Performing all welding, gouging, cutting or other duties as specified by Supervisor and reporting findings accurately;
Performing weekly bucket and blade condition reports
Accessing metal required to repair or fabricate the component; and
Undertaking labouring duties as required
About you:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within mine site environment;
Australian Recognised Trade Certificate;
Demonstrated experience with on- site repairs e.g. excavator bucket and truck tray body rebuilds;
Capacity to preform welding (MIG/ TIG/ STICK), air arc gouging, cutting and lancing, accompanied by relevant welding tickets;
Capability to read and work in accordance to engineering drawings and work plans;
Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team;
Great interpersonal and communication skills;
Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and
Current C Class Drivers Licence.
