About the role

Our team are seeking highly experienced Boilermaker/Welders who are chasing long term opportunities to work at our Kalgoorlie based workshop.  

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of the bigger mining & heavy earth moving equipment available. Your duties will include (but not limited to) the following.

  • Ongoing repairs and maintenance of a variety of mobile mining equipment.
  • Bucket repairs and general fabrication.
  • Tray work and wear packages.
  • Large boom and stick rebuild.
  • Arc-air gouging and welding flux core.
  • Ensuring all maintenance repairs are performed in accordance with company guidelines and within cost targets; and
  • Field service work (if required).

About you
  • Must be a Kalgoorlie resident or looking to relocate.
  • Significant post-trade experience with heavy earth moving equipment; namely Caterpillar, Komatsu and Hitachi.
  • A strong commitment to safety, health and the environment, with a proactive approach to housekeeping.
  • Relevant nationally recognised trade qualification.
  • Applicants holding current Driver's License, Working at Heights and High-Risk Licenses highly regarded.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution focus.
  • A keen eye for detail, presentation and craftsmanship; and
  • The successful candidates may also be required to complete inductions, will be required to be medically fit and able to pass a drug and alcohol test.
