The Gwalia Gold Mine is located three kilometres south of the town of Leonora, Western Australia, and has been a flagship asset for our client St Barbara for the past 15 years. Macmahon is proud to be able to deliver a whole of mine service including mine development, ground support, production drilling and blasting, loading and trucking, shotcreting and paste fill reticulation. 

The Gwalia mine is the cornerstone of Leonora operations and has strong margins supported by good grades and a focus on costs and returns. The site has a track record of continuous improvement, with a recently upgraded mine ventilation system, and a previous significant upgrade of the accommodation village that incorporated a number of energy efficient and environmentally friendly initiatives.

The Macmahon Underground team is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to work FIFO from Perth to project site on a 2/2 roster (including 7 nights, 7 days, 14 days off)

**** Successful applicants must also hold an Australian recognised Certificate III trade certificate. ****

To be suitable for the role you must meet the following requirements;

Relevant trade qualifications
Ability to work unsupervised
Fabrication and welding experience essential
Able to perform all welding, gouging, cutting and burning.
Ability to read and work from plans.
Experience with mobile equipment maintenance
Strong safety awareness
Current driver's licence
 

As a part of the recruitment process for this role if successful you will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including laboratory drug and alcohol screen and complete criminal history and qualification checks.
