Mount Isa Mines are currently advertising for a Boilermaker in the Lead Smelter- Mechanical Maintenance team. .  This is an excellent opportunity to further your experience and develop your technical skills and industry knowledge. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and will require you to work a 4/4/4/2 roster

The Role
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to bring an innovative mindset and willingness to challenge the norm. You must have trade qualifications and be flexible in terms of working times and rosters

 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Routine maintenance inspections, shutdown and fixed plant work
• You will be required to work on a range of mining equipment including structural steel, storage bins, chutes, guarding and pipe work.
• You will also need to interpret scale drawings or specifications to determine job requirements and materials.

• Trade experience in mining, heavy industry or quarrying with an Engineering Fabrication Trade (Heavy Fabrication-Boilermaking).
• You will be able to work to meet deadlines and high standards safety Standards in risk/control awareness.
• High level of work quality, exceptional communication skills
• Always strive to be part a high performing team
