Boilermaker

Macmahon is currently seeking experienced Boilermakers to join the Macmahon Tropicana team. These positions will be on a continuous day and night 2:1 roster, flying from Perth. You will be part of a high energy team so possession of multiple skill sets and licenses/qualifications will be highly regarded as they will greatly enhance your versatility within the role.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

• Repairing and fabricating any metal components; 
• Performing all welding, gouging, cutting or other duties as specified by Supervisor and reporting findings accurately;
• Performing weekly bucket and blade condition reports
• Accessing metal required to repair or fabricate the component; and 

About you: 

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within mine site environment;
• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate; 
• Demonstrated experience with on- site repairs e.g. excavator bucket and truck tray body rebuilds;
• Capacity to preform welding (MIG/ TIG/ STICK), air arc gouging, cutting and lancing, accompanied by relevant welding tickets; 
• Capability to read and work in accordance to engineering drawings and work plans; 
• Ability to work independently as well as a part of the team; 
• Great interpersonal and communication skills;
• Demonstrating commitment to Macmahon safety culture and values; and 
• Current C Class Drivers License.

Should you be successful in being offered a role in Macmahons’ Surface Mining Division, you will be required to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test along with obtaining a National Police Clearance.
