About the Role
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role provides leadership to the Site Systems team and is accountable for the coordination and governance of the Safety and Health Management System, material risk compliance, mine record, management structure and the associated information systems. We have a strong focus on finding a candidate with an inclusive approach to leadership along with exemplary communication and critical thinking skills.
- Lead and assist the development of a small team of high performing subject matter experts.
- Provide technical experience to support the site operations leadership and Site Systems teams in the delivery of performance targets.
- Leverage BOS processes and routines to identify and lead initiatives that bridge identified gaps, facilitate change and embed new systems to support the continuous improvement of the SHMS.
- Oversee the delivery of the Material Risk Management Process
- Monitor and support the effective management of the Broadmeadow Mine Record
- Auditing of the Broadmeadow single Safety and Health Management System for compliance to legislation and corporate governance.
- Develop strong working relationships and support site leaders to ensure in-field adherence to new and existing safety systems.

About You
To be successful in this role, you shall possess the following skills:
- Developing, maintaining and improving safety management systems.
- Managing systems in line with QLD coal mining and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) legislation.
- Demonstrated experience working in compliance to Regulatory bodies, governance and leading the risk management process.
- Relevant qualifications in Safety, Risk, Assurance, Law or similar will be deem advantageous
- Delivery of simple, effective solutions in a changing environment.
