About the Role

The Process Engineer / Business Analyst is an integral member of a dynamic, fast paced and supportive team. Ideal for a results-driven professional with a strong focus on process improvement and data-driven decision-making. The role is responsible for driving continuous improvement, standardisation, analytical and technological improvement insights that enables the business to develop aviation and accommodation plans and strategies that add real tangible value to improving BHP’s FIFO workforce experience. Perth based Monday to Friday role with an attractive renumeration package. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and support initiatives to improve aviation and accommodation forecasting accuracy, reduce waste, optimise forecasts and enhance customer communication.
  • Implement and maintain technology solutions across People Logistics, including dashboards, business intelligence tools, and system integrations.
  • Partner across People Logistics to identify and co-develop solutions to team and customer pain points, with BOS as our way of working.
  • Support in the development and ongoing management of the FIFO accommodation and aviation supply and demand strategy for I&S People Logistics
  • Collaborate with large scale projects across the business to provide insight and recommendations on strategic flight and accommodation plans
  • Development of forecast updates for the I&S village service provider and third party accommodation providers including regular reviews on forecast accuracy and improvements
  • Provides analysis and recommendation to support projects to improve accommodation and aviation utilisation including rosters changes, village expansions and large scale construction projects
  • Prepare volume inputs for annual budget and 2 Year Planning process. Provide insights and analysis into trends or changes that impact overall spend on flights and accommodation.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, providing expertise support whilst guiding outcomes on all aviation and accommodation demand and supply forecasts 

About You

You are strong analytical thinker who enjoys working with data, identifying trends and using evidence to guide decisions. You enjoy process improvement, looking for opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce waste and drive operational excellence. You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels within the business whilst focusing on outcomes and delivering results.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Power BI, SQL, Snowflake
  • Bachelor's degree qualified (or equivalent) preferred
