Business Analyst

Job Responsibilities

Macmahon seeks an experienced Business Analyst. This role provides a wide range of support to the Plant Commercial Superintendent with data analysis, project performance reporting and identifying and understanding the key drivers of project performance. 

About the role
 

• Analysis of monthly data, including commercial data and interrogate performance reports and analysis.
• Working with project managers, identify risks & opportunities to improve project performance.
• Custodian of the plant charges for wide range of mobile fleet operating on surface and underground projects.
• Cross-functional engagement with key management stakeholders, including project managers and management accountants.
• Overall responsibility for forecasting of monthly and quarterly project results.
• Ad hoc project work involving operational, commercial and financial inputs.
• Linking contractual obligations with commercial outcomes.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business or relevant discipline.
• Accounting background essential.
• Experience performing complex analytical and problem-solving activities.
• Experience and understanding of surface and underground mining.
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel.
• SAP knowledge desirable.
