Senior Business Analyst - Studies

Work Location: Perth - Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Reporting to the Planning and Controls Manager - Studies, this role is responsible for carrying out activities to provide financial insights, including performing financial and operational modelling, as well as developing new models that underpin the decision-making process. The candidate will be able to communicate outputs to the relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations to the group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the group
• Completing detailed business analysis, outlining risks, opportunities and solutions
• Financial modelling and analysing
• Variance Analysis
• Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes and operations

Qualifications and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field or an MBA
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
• Exceptional Excel skills for financial modelling
