Business Improvement Specialist
Work Location: Solomon. Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 4D/3R – FIFO ex Perth
Reporting to the Superintendent Engineering & Reliability, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end management of multiple business improvement projects from concept, design to implementation including the associated scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
Key accountabilities:
- Drive innovation and site initiatives to deliver additional sustained value
- Facilitate the deployment of improvement initiatives with stakeholders
- Coaching and influencing stakeholders to deliver results with maximum value
- Champion risk assessment and change management processes
- Develop business improvement business case, charters and project plans
Qualifications and skills required:
- Exposure or experience working with iron ore fixed plant - ideal
- Mining experience combined with experience in business improvement processes in mining
- A collaborative interpersonal style with an ability to to work with all levels of stakeholders
- Lean six sigma or similar business improvement certification – ideal
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
- Project team leadership experience
