Business Manager - Labour Support

The Macmahon team is currently extending an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the Business Manager - Labour Support position for our QLD Maintenance Division. This initiative marks an expansion of our established labour services within Macmahon.

About the role

The purpose of the Business Manager - Labour Support is to manage Macmahon’s labour support division and drive business growth, manage operations and foster strong client relationships with internal and external stakeholders leading a dedicated team of professionals, ensuring the seamless delivery of skilled tradespeople as labour support to meet the demands of the business.

About you

• Proven experience in a managerial role within the labour hire industry, preferably in mechanical trades or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Australian mining industry, including its challenges, regulations, and trends.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute business plans to achieve growth objectives.
• Sound decision-making abilities with a focus on delivering results and driving operational excellence.
• Proven track record of driving business growth, achieving targets, and exceeding client expectations.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including workplace health and safety regulations, labour laws, and industry standards.
• Demonstrated broad knowledge of maintenance principles and techniques within the mining industry. 
• Successful involvement with maintenance contract management with an operator in the mining or heavy engineering industry.
• Manual Driver’s License
