About the Role – Talent Business Partner
Whitehaven Coal have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Talent Business Partner to join our evolving and exciting recruitment team!

You will be joining a supportive and super fun culture that thrives within our highly motivated and knowledgeable team.
Although this role is predominately office based; We are a team that travels!!
This close-knit team is spread over 3 states, coming together for quarterly talent workshops and a variety of social activities throughout the year across Sydney, Newcastle & Brisbane.  We also take regular trips to the Gunnedah basin, where our incredible mining operations are, for stakeholder education and varying recruitment commitments.

Our Talent Business Partners are responsible for delivering end to end recruitment activities across a portfolio of professional, technical and blue-collar positions within our underground and open cut operations in the Gunnedah basin.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordination with hiring managers and HR business partners to determine staffing needs
  • Manage recruitment campaigns and talent pipelines to ensure minimal delay from vacancy to placement. 
  • Proactive shortlisting, screening and Interviewing candidates 
  • Actively seek out innovative solutions to attract the best talent
  • Prepare recruitment materials and posting vacancies across multiple platforms
  • Use social media and current market trends to attract candidates and build relationships
  • Ensure the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is kept up to date at all times to maintain accurate reporting
  • Request and review candidate background checks including; psychometric/safety, medical/ police checks
  • Manage the candidate offer process and educate candidates on benefits, salary and environment
