About the Role
The Business Analyst is an integral part of a dynamic, fast paced, and supportive team providing essential analytical improvement insights to Non Process Infrastructure (NPI) People Logistics across Western Australian Iron Ore (WAIO). Perth based Monday to Friday role with an attractive renumeration package.
Key Accountabilities:
- Support in the development and ongoing management of the aviation and FIFO accommodation demand/supply strategy for NPI People Logistics
- Work with projects across the business to provide insight and recommendations on strategic flight and accommodation plans. Manage escalations and rework of analysis to support projects through to execution closeout.
- Development of forecast updates for the NPI Village Service Provider including regular reviews on forecast accuracy and improvements
- Track and manage our aviation portfolio and forecasts - highlighting opportunities to rationalise flights and optimise services
- Support the business with accommodation utilisation – rosters changes, village transitions and large scale projects supporting with analysis and recommendations on how best to plan and manage.
- Prepare volume inputs for annual budget and 2 Year Planning process. Provide insights and analysis into trends or changes that impact overall spend on flights and accommodation.
- Communicate with key stakeholders providing expertise and support and guiding outcomes on all aviation and accommodation demand and supply inputs
- Manage and lead Improvement initiatives – providing data and insights to support cost reduction/improvement initiatives
About You
Your ability to utilise your advanced data analytical skills to provide insights and identify improvement opportunities will enable the business to develop plans and strategies that will add real tangible value to improving BHP’s FIFO workforce experience.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point
- Power BI
- Bachelor's degree qualified (or equivalent)
