About the Ganhambarra "Work" Ready Program
In line with existing programs in operation at Newmont operations including Boddington and Tanami, the Cadia Ganhambarra Ready Program is designed to provide dedicated pathways for First Nations people into an exciting long-term career at Cadia. With 2025 being the first year such a program will be in operation on-site, these roles represent an exciting opportunity to be a part of the initial intake, whilst also working to shape the program moving forward for future participants.
Successful applicants will undertake a dedicated 12-week paid program focused on providing exposure to a range of departments across site, a variety of working rosters and daily tasks with the aim to transition at the completion of the program into an ongoing role within the business full-time. Throughout the program participants will complete a variety of training activities to ensure they are safe and competent in the work areas assigned and provided with the opportunity to potentially pursue further training subject to their interests.
During the program, participants will be connected with our existing on-site Indigenous Mentors to provide added support, guidance and a friendly face to best support any challenges that arise throughout the program. Participants can also get involved in cultural activities connected with the Indigenous Mentoring Program including shaping how the Ganhambarra Program operates for future years.
