Camp Maintenance

Red 5 is an established and successful ASX 200 gold producer and explorer in an active expansion phase. The recent merger of equals with Silver Lake Resources has created a leading mid-tier ASX Gold producer, with three operating centres in Western Australia and one Canadian operation.

THE ROLE:

A diverse role that provides preventative and breakdown maintenance for the Rothsay Mine Camp. Rothsay is located north east of Perth and only 1 hour by plane. 

You will be responsible for repairs as well as coordinating specialised repairs and maintenance activities with external contractors. 

Key areas of maintenance responsibilities of this role will include:

• Site and village plumbing and reticulation systems
• Village fixed infrastructure and buildings such as kitchen, laundries, accommodation blocks
• Waste water treatment plant and spray fields
• RO plant, borefield pumping and reticulation systems
• Site fixed infrastructure such as washdown bay and oily water separator, TSF pumping system and site offices
• Bioremediation pad management and recovery of spilled hydrocarbons
• Waste landfill facilities – both putrescible and inert
• Borrow pit for excavation of material to use as landfill coverage
• Control of weeds and regrowth around the site, village and airstrip
• Other miscellaneous duties of a similar nature as requested by the site Registered Manager or Alternate RM

As a passionate and results-driven professional, you will bring your technical expertise and analytical approach to this varied and challenging role. You have a positive attitude and a demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds to achieve project targets. This role will undertake a wide variety of tasks and will need to have knowledge and skills in the following areas: 

• Building/construction/handyman skills
• Plumbing
• Basic earthmoving / excavation skills 
• Minor repairs to commercial appliances such as washing machines & kitchen appliances 
• Hold a current C Class driver's license

The role is offered on an 8:6 FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO from Geraldton.
