Start here, go anywhere with Barminco.   To support our growth, we are seeking applications for Entry Level Underground Miners to join the Barminco team. These positions commence as an Entry Level Miner in the capacity of an underground Truck Operator or Nipper, which gives you the opportunity to progress your career into other underground roles. Our structured training is award winning and we pride ourselves on developing our people. 

Upon commencing, you will be enrolled in a Certificate ll in Underground Metalliferous Mining and provided with industry-leading training to encourage and enable your future development.   

We will be hosting an Assessment Centre on Friday 19th of May 2023, in Temora, NSW. This is an opportunity for you to meet our team, gain a better understanding of the underground mining environment and put your best foot forward. So, if you are a hands-on, practical person with a desire for an underground mining career, we are very keen to meet you!

Please note, our Assessment Centre will run as two sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please indicate your session preference in the questions below. If you are shortlisted to attend, we will be in touch with further information.    We offer these positions on an even time roster: 14/14.  These roles are DIDO – Drive In, Drive Out - so you need to reside within 3 hours’ drive of West Wyalong or be willing to relocate to be eligible.

Key Requirements •    Right to work permanently in Australia •    Valid Manual Australian Driver’s Licence •    Must reside within 3 hours’ drive of West Wyalong or be willing to relocate.  •    Previous experience in a labour intensive, physical role i.e., farming, trades, labourer (preferable) •    Ability to perform shift work, and work both day and nightshift on a rotating roster. •    Working At Heights and First Aid (preferable) •    National Police clearance (issued within 3 months)
