Capital Analyst

Work Location: Fortescue’s Perth office is located on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk people.

Roster: Monday to Friday

Role overview:

The Capital Analyst will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of Pilbara Operations portfolio performance and supporting the operations through the timely approval of capital funds.

This newly created role will support the Capital Portfolio Manager through the governance, analysis, reporting of Operations capital performance.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Analysis and reporting of portfolio performance
  • Review and facilitate the assessment of capital expenditure requests for compliance to Project Management Standards and Corporate policy
  • Support sites in the timely review and release of capital funds
  • Provide new starter training in capital process and systems
  • Support the development and implementation of capital reports 

Qualification and Experience: 

  • Previous project management and analytics experience essential 
  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management or Engineering highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Strong knowledge of accounting policies
  • Demonstrated application of continuous improvement
