We are looking for a Capital Projects Engineer to join the team at Cape Lambert
to lead projects throughout the stages of project management (Define, Pre-feasibility, Feasibility, Implementation and Close out). Projects range in complexity, technical make-up and urgency.
Your role will be crucial in achieving Cape Lambert's short-term and long-term goals, as we strive to foster growth within our team and the community, ultimately building a better Cape Lambert for all.
In addition, this role will be responsible to:
- Collaborate closely with on-site teams, as well as internal and external partners, ensuring smooth coordination and successful project execution.
- Handle projects of diverse complexities, technical aspects, and urgency, providing a dynamic and rewarding experience.
- Perform comprehensive contract and project management tasks, including project design, tender evaluation, budget management, risk identification, and management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
- Work closely working closely with all site teams, internal and external partners frequently.
About you
While an engineering degree is not mandatory, we are actively searching for candidates with qualifications in Engineering, Finance, Commerce, or an equivalent field.
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven capability and commitment to quality safety leadership
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Self-motivation and ability to work with autonomy in a high-pace role, managing multiple deliverables
- Demonstrated a relevant experience implementing and managing projects
- Leadership experience
- Experience as an RTIO Contractor Management Company Representative
- Current C Class Drivers licence.
- Sound computer skills and able to manage multiple software applications.
Where you will be working
The chosen candidate for this role will be scheduled on either an 8/6 or 5/2/4/3 roster FIFO from Perth, or residential at one of the surrounding towns.
