King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long-term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open-pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Carpentry Trade Assistant is responsible for carrying out carpentry and general maintenance across mine camp facilities and infrastructure.
This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Complete refurbishments, including room upgrades, fit-outs, and repairs to accommodation units.
- Install, repair, and maintain doors, fixtures, framing, joinery, and structural components.
- Assist with minor building works, renovations, and site improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Work collaboratively with other site maintenance staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Uphold strong safety compliance and site standards at all times.
About You
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Trade Assistant role
- Experience working in the Australian Mining industry (desirable)
- Full Australian work rights with no limitations
- Hold a current WA Driver’s License (manual C Class)
- Forklift ticket highly desirable
