We currently have a unique and strategic position for an individual who possesses mobile mining equipment background experience with strong commercial acumen, is a leader with good procurement experience and has solid stakeholder relationship skills (internal and external).
Reporting to the Senior Manager Mobile Equipment, you will:
- Lead a diverse and global sub category team and ensure that all global and regional category/sourcing activities align with business priorities and requirements;
- Have direct oversight of the various contract support functions, including supporting our Key Productivity Partner supplier relationship management program, pricing and contract management, procurement governance and supporting ‘horizontally’ across the global Mobile Equipment team;
- Undertake and manage the negotiation of high-value and complex global Mobile Equipment supplier contracts;
- Build strong and productive stakeholder relationships with global product groups, business units, Diesel Transition Program (DTP), major projects and operations; in order to understand their unique requirements and ensure that the various sub categories and support functions are aligned and delivering against these requirements;
- Be fully informed on the global Mobile Equipment market from an innovation, technology, automation and continuous improvement perspective and inform the global Mobile Equipment team accordingly;
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Proven technical understanding of Mobile Equipment; operational demands, maintenance challenges, supply chain, OEM suppliers etc
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to drive change
- A proven track record of achieving successful outcomes through negotiation, influencing and collaboration
- A strong track record of building robust, collaborative and productive relationships in a global setting
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage and lead a team with a ‘people at the heart’ approach
- Degree qualified in an Engineering, Business or Commercial discipline
