About the role

Reporting to the Head of Investigations, within Rio Tinto’s Business Conduct Office, the Change Lead role will support the delivery of the design and implementation of a people-centred, trauma informed triage, assessment and investigation framework, systems and processes. (the Project).

You will work with the Business Conduct Office and key stakeholders to support the Project and associated change management framework and initiatives.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we adopt a people centric approach to ensure our people are supported throughout the change process, including keeping them informed on business processes, systems and structures whilst being conscious of the human elements of change.

To be successful in this role you will be expected to:

  • Support the design and implementation of systems and processes for:
    • end to end triage, assessment and investigation process
    • phased implementation dovetailing with operationalisation of Discrete Unit
  • Support the necessary business and architecture (workstreams, scope, sequencing, reporting, rituals and rhythms) against which transformation activity can be planned and clearly communicated to the organisation in a timely fashion
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and relevant outputs from the workstreams, including adoption by BAU teams
  • Provide transparency on status of transformation activity, including challenges (both content and process)
  • Foster positive working relationships and full collaboration between project team and internal and external stakeholders

About you

This is a great opportunity for a values-based individual who is an experienced change lead and has an in-depth understanding of how people go through change and the change process.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of change engagement and communication strategies, so you can effectively define and execute the change enablement approach for the implementation of the Project Framework. You will be accountable for ensuring the end-to-end process delivers improved experience, service delivery excellence and productivity.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across diverse voices and across all levels of the business
  • Problem solving capability
  • Project and change management experience
  • Project lead experience, preferably on large scale transformation projects within global, multi-faceted organisations
