Ashton is an underground mine and coal handling preparation plant located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of NSW.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced CHPP Manager to join our team at Ashton Coal Operation. Reporting to the Operations Manager and being a key member of the site Leadership Team, the CHPP Manager will have high standards of safety and compliance with a passion for continuously improving our operation.

Some other key tasks and responsibilities will include;

  • Providing leadership and mentoring to team members
  • Effectively oversee and manage projects
  • Monitor and maintain costs and budgets for the CHPP

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in metallurgy / engineering or related discipline;
  • NSW statutory practicing certificate or equivalent;
  • National Mining Competency MNCG2 Facilitate the Risk Management Process;
  • Sound knowledge of NSW workplace and Mining statutory rules and regulations;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience the same or similar position;
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and empowerment of teams;
  • Demonstrated commitment to risk management, safe work practices and statutory obligations
