Ashton - Owned by Yancoal, Ashton is an underground mine and coal handling preparation plant located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of NSW. 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Fleet Maintainer to join our CHPP team at Ashton Coal Operation.

Reporting to the Mobile Fleet Maintenance Coordinator, duties of the Mobile Fleet Maintainer will include but are not limited to;

• Operate mobile equipment and ancillary equipment supporting the CHPP operation as directed
• Respond promptly to breakdowns of mobile fleet equipment as well as conduct fault finding activities to ensure fast resolution
• Proactively contribute to the safety of the team by identifying risks and hazards

Skills and Experience

• Trade qualification in electrical (high voltage) or automotive electrical
• Proven experience and qualifications to operator and maintain Komatsu and Caterpillar Haul Trucks, Caterpillar Dozers, Caterpillar Loaders and various mobile equipment
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the same or similar position
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmentally responsible practices
