Cameby Downs is a small open-cut thermal coal mine in the Surat Basin of southern Queensland, Managed by Yancoal and positioned between Chinchilla and Miles. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The CHPP Operator Maintainer will report to the CHPP Crew Leading Hand as part of the CHPP team with duties including:
- Participation and adherence to the site SHMS - PRIDES/Hazard reporting and risk asses
- Operating and monitoring the Coal Handling Prep Plant (CHPP)
- Maintaining accurate daily production report
- Daily CHPP inspections
- Identifying improvement opportunities
- Maintaining the CHPP on breakdown and planned work - this includes electrical and mechanical duties as required
- Train Load Out Operations
- Loading trains and monitoring Citect system
- Daily TLO inspections
- Operating mobile equipment for ROM/Bypass and Training Loading Operations
- This includes Wheel Loader, Stockpile Dozer, Ancillary equipment
- Conduct equipment pre-starts

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- Experience maintaining industrial fixed plant is essential
- Experience working safely in an industrial environment
- Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
- Well developed verbal and written communication skills
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Good computer literacy
- Flexibility to change as priorities change
- Good team work in a small team environment
QUALIFCATIONS
- Relevant electrical trade qualification
- Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Standard 11 induction – advantageous
- RIIs for operating loaders and dozers - advantage
