Civil Drafter
MacMahon’s civil entity, TMM Group, is currently seeking an experienced Civil Drafter to join the Brisbane design team on a Fixed Term contract.
TMM Group delivers design and construction services to the resource, mining, energy and infrastructure industries across Australia. The TMM design team delivers a variety of civil designs from prefeasibility and concept studies, through to full detailed design.
The Civil Drafter will provide support to the civil design team based in the Brisbane office and will be responsible for transferring outputs from civil designers into AutoCAD drawings that align with TMM and other recognised standards.
Projects typically worked on vary greatly in size and scope but are predominantly mining based civil infrastructure related including light and heavy vehicle roads, drainage, bulk earthworks, on/off site water management, flood levees, traffic studies and other mine related infrastructure.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
• Development of AutoCAD drawing sets from civil design software outputs
• Utilisation of TMM (or client) drafting standards to produced consistently well-presented drawings in accordance with expectation
• Support other sectors of the business with plans, sketches and as-con drawings.
• Communicate effectively with internal external stakeholders and be committed to a team approach
• Ability to efficiently deliver tasks in line with projects budgets and timeframes
• Ability to understand key priorities and deliver for the consult team under self-driven situations
Key role requirements (essential) are:
• Experience in similar civil drafting roles
• High Levels of proficiency in AutoCAD
• High computer literacy
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following:
• Exposure to mining infrastructure design.
• Experience in designing roads, earthworks, dams, rehabilitation projects
