Classified Plant Inspector
Work Location: Solomon
- Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.
Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth
- Duties and responsibilities:Maintain and manage site classified plant compliance.
- Communicate the requirements for classified plant compliance across the site.
- Organize fortnight and monthly meeting after creating power point presentation slides and presenting to stakeholders.
- Managing actions followed by meetings.
- Manage auditing program.
- Reporting on classified plant compliance levels to management.
- Conduct classified plant inspections across OPF, Mobile Maintenance, NPI and Power station.
Skills and Experience:
- Approved Classified Plant Inspector – qualification.
- Extensive Classified/Registrable Plant Inspection experience
- Experience with inspections for EWP, cranes, pressure vessels, ropes and winches.
- Mobile plant/ Itinerary plant inspection experience.
- NDT qualifications in UT & MT would be desirable.
- Tank Inspector certificate API 653 would be advantageous.
- Australian Standard knowledge of AS3788 & WorkSafe General and Mines 2022.
- Sound mechanical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant
- WA Class C Drivers Licence, Confined Space, Working at Heights certificates.
- Knowledge of and ability to understand and interpret Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 and the Mines Safety Inspection Act 1994, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 1996
