Classified Plant Inspector 

Work Location: Solomon

• Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi people.

Roster: 8D/6R – FIFO ex Perth 

• Duties and responsibilities:Maintain and manage site classified plant compliance.
• Communicate the requirements for classified plant compliance across the site.
• Organize fortnight and monthly meeting after creating power point presentation slides and presenting to stakeholders.
• Managing actions followed by meetings.
• Manage auditing program.
• Reporting on classified plant compliance levels to management.
• Conduct classified plant inspections across OPF, Mobile Maintenance, NPI and Power station.

Skills and Experience:

• Approved Classified Plant Inspector – qualification.
• Extensive Classified/Registrable Plant Inspection experience
• Experience with inspections for EWP, cranes, pressure vessels, ropes and winches.
• Mobile plant/ Itinerary plant inspection experience.
• NDT qualifications in UT & MT would be desirable.
• Tank Inspector certificate API 653 would be advantageous.
• Australian Standard knowledge of AS3788 & WorkSafe General and Mines 2022.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of fixed and mobile plant
• WA Class C Drivers Licence, Confined Space, Working at Heights certificates.
•  Knowledge of and ability to understand and interpret Mines Safety and Inspection Regulations 1995 and the Mines Safety Inspection Act 1994, Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 1996
