Owned by Yancoal, Yarrabee is based in Blackwater QLD which is 200 km west of the Capricorn Coast. Yarrabee is a proud producer of high-quality PCI coal since 1982. We employ approximately 400 people, who are our most valuable asset and we invest in developing our management and leadership talent throughout our operations.
Yarrabee currently has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join the team on a permanent full time basis.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager/SSE the Commercial Manager is responsible for the provision and supervision of site commercial functions such as management accounting & reporting, management of Stores, BSO’s and Town Services, contracts and any additional reasonable tasks requested that are within the incumbent’s skillset. This role is also part of the Yarrabee Leadership Team.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will have the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Degree Qualifications in Accounting, Business or similar discipline (mandatory)
- CPA/CA qualified (mandatory)
- Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11)
- Current Qld Driver’s licence
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years post graduate experience in a commercial accounting environment
- Previous experience in providing leadership to affect project and operational success in relation to Commercial applications within a mining environment
- Experience in the use of large ERP systems
- Experience in external and / or internal audit process
