Cadia Valley Operations is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney. Who we’re looking for  

Reporting to the Superintendent – Social Performance, the position will assist with ongoing administrative support and management of administration systems developed to maintain Cadia’s social licence to operate.

In addition, the Community Relations Assistant also provides support for Cadia’s Community Relations activities, including event and program delivery support. You will have exposure to exciting projects and be part of a great team and positive culture.  

You will be a highly organised and motivated individual focused on delivering outcomes. For the right candidate, this opportunity can offer a high degree of flexibility in terms of location and hours of work.

Duties include:

  • Ensure all activities are carried out consistent with CVO Safety Management System. 
  • Provide secretariat support for community programs (i.e. Cadia Investment Program, Cadia Farm Management Program and the Cadia District Enhancement Project) in line with the Cadia Social Performance Management Plan
  • Provide administrative support to facilitate the distribution of promotional material, education programs and information sessions to ensure a positive public image for Cadia.
  • Maintain good document control and data integrity within the Social Performance team within relevant programs, including SharePoint, SAP, CHESS and CDMS.
  • Manage the Cadia Website to ensure compliance and relevance with EPL and Project Approval conditions and other site information, in a timely manner.

You will also possess the following

  • Experience with database systems – SAP highly regarded.
  • Previous administration experience.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel and database management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and reporting skills.
  • Open Drivers Licence – Highly regarded.
