About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this is a key leadership role where you will be able to oversee, influence, and manage the site compliance to Legislative & corporate requirements.

Do you get job satisfaction:

• Managing site compliance to Legislative & corporate requirements through the monitoring, reviewing, auditing, and updating of site safety management system including Principal Management Hazard Plans and supporting systems.
• Ensure systems provide for effective planning, coordination, control, of the statutory compliance of activities across all areas of the operation focusing on simplicity, accessibility and what the end user requires.
• Coaching and development of site Mining Supervisors
• Collaboratively working with Senior Leadership Team to deliver strategic plans

Is this the right opportunity for you?

• First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency for Underground Coal Mines or the willingness to obtain one
• Proven ability to influence and build relationships
• Working knowledge of underground mining operations
• Excellent understanding on current NSW Coal Mining & WHS legislation and regulations
• Experience in either engineering or other technical services roles
