Our Cadia Dewatering Facility is located in the Central West of New South Wales, approximately 2 kilometres outside the vibrant regional town of Blayney, and 3 hours drive from Sydney.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill this entry level position. No experience required. If you have a great attitude and are a great fit for our team, we will train you. The successful applicant will support the Final Product Department to operate in a safe and efficient manner, to meet production targets while maintaining equipment integrity. Reporting to the Cadia Dewatering Facility Supervisor, the role is specifically focused on operating our filter presses and associated equipment, as well as loading our copper concentrate into containers ready to be exported.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all safety incidents and hazards are reported, documented and learned from.
  • Participating in shift handover meetings and providing quality information and direction to the incoming shift.      
  • Completion of all pre-start checks on mobile equipment/vehicles and other equipment requiring prestart checks.
  • Container and train loading using a front-end loader and reach stacker or forklift respectively.
  • Assisting the shift fitter in performing maintenance tasks.
  • Compliance to the daily, weekly and shutdown plans.
