Reporting to the Reliability Engineer, an opportunity exists for an experienced Condition Monitoring Technician to join the Oaky Creek North team. The Condition Monitoring Technician is responsible for driving the condition monitoring program throughout Oaky Creek North.
The role of Condition Monitoring Technician is to monitor the condition and wear of all equipment throughout the mine to proactively detect component failure and minimise equipment downtime.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Inspections of equipment throughout all areas of the mine to assess condition
- Use site condition monitoring equipment to assess equipment health
- Provide condition monitoring resource requirements for daily and weekly planning meetings
- Identify areas for improved equipment effectiveness through condition monitoring
- Apply and monitor the GCAA Asset Management Framework
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT) following equipment overhaul/procurement and organise/create relevant reports that support fit for service delivery
- Analyse data captured and generate reports for relevant departments to assist in making informed proactive decisions
- Provide input into equipment failure mode investigations
About you:

As the successful candidate, you will have:
- 2 to 4 years industry experience in a similar role preferably in underground mining
- NDT desired minimum MT2 VT2
- Vibration essential minimum VCAT1
- High levels of resourcefulness, initiative, personal organisation, and diplomacy
- Advanced Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous underground mining experience
- Mechanical trade background an advantage
- Computer literate with experience using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Prior use of SAP planning software would also be advantageous
