We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. 

Managed by Yancoal, Premier Coal is the leading coal producer in Western Australia.  Operating an open cut coal mine near Collie in the South West of WA, the operation produces coal for the domestic market with contracts to 2030.  

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Premier Coal is in search of a Contract Administrator to deliver end to end contract administration across a wide range of goods and services that contribute to the operation, safety, quality, reliability and profitability of the site.

  • Undertaking sourcing processes including analysis, tendering, evaluation, drafting, negotiation, establishing appropriate contract terms and conditions and managing supplier partnership arrangements.
  • Assisting site contract owners and representatives in managing and monitoring contracts.
  • Ensure adherence to contract terms, correct contract payment verification, monitoring contract variations, formally communicating with suppliers.
  • Produce reports in an accurate and timely manner as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a mining or related environment.
  • Experience in drafting and administration of contracts.
  • Knowledge of contract law, accounting principles and finance.
  • High level of software proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to schedule and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and adapt to change.
