About the Role
As the Maintenance Contract Specialist, you will play a vital role in NPI compliance team assisting the maintenance compliance Lead with managing contractors across multiple BMA sites across the Bowen Basin (QLD) and providing guidance and support to Contract Owners and Site Stakeholders.
Accountabilities include:
- Ensuring conformance with the BHP Billiton Charter, the BHP Billiton Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Ensuring contractor compliance with the requirements of the BHP ‘Our Requirement for Contractor Management and Contractor Management Framework
- Provide contractor reports and reporting capabilities to business functions and vendors to assist with monitoring & delivery of business information.
- Provide contract support for continuous improvement.
- Provide administrative support to the Contract Owner Portfolio, ensuring a productive output and strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Provide weekly monthly and quarterly reports including contractor review meetings.
- Assist the Compliance Lead with compliance activities.
- Verification of set requirements under ‘Our Requirement for Contractor Management’ through regular audits.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated work experience with contractors or contract management.
- Experience within the coal mining resources industry.
- Maintenance and compliance experience is required.
- Exceptional engagement and collaboration skills in managing stakeholder relationships.
- Interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational management skills.
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite of products.
- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and sustainable development
