We are looking for a Contract Management Advisor to be an integral member of the Operational Excellence team and foster strong stakeholder relationships, influence peers and others within the business and ensure a safer workplace for contractors.

This is a great opportunity to support the management of client relationships between site and supplier, coach peers on-site, and support contract owners and designated leaders in executing their accountabilities to their full potential. This governance role requires strong people skills, a willingness to learn new things, and the ability to be seen as a leader within our business and the broader supplier group.

Reporting to the Superintendent Operational Excellence, you will:

  • Provide coaching/assistance to Contract Owners/Designated leaders on the Scope of Work definition/planning process, including preferred suppliers.
  • Support Contract Owners on the use of qualified suppliers and the qualification process for new suppliers.
  • Support Contract Owners with developing the contractor engagement plan in consultation with Procurement and supplier leadership.
  • Support Designated Leaders on contractor mobilisation procedures.
  • Support and coach Designated Leaders to execute effective field verifications against procedures
  • Participate in performance evaluation meetings for strategic/critical suppliers only.

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably within a similar industry would be an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and promote a safer workplace.
  • Experience in supporting customer/client relationships.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Knowledge of governance and compliance requirements and advantage
  • Willingness to learn new things and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to lead and inspire others.
