ABOUT Cannington
Our Cannington operation is one of the world's largest producers of silver and lead. Located in northwest Queensland, Cannington boasts an underground mine and processing facility situated approximately 800 kilometres west of Townsville and a concentrate handling facility at the Port of Townsville. Cannington mine provides on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as sporting and gym facilities

ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is a Permanent position on a 4/3 roster, FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane
The South32 Contractor Management System of Work has been developed to deliver a step-change improvement in the management of contractors from the time they enter a contractual arrangement to the time they depart site.
The role of the Contractor Management Specialist is to develop, mature and otherwise manage the Cannington Contractor Management System to ensure it continues to comply with the South32 Contractor Management Standard and is implemented as designed.
Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- To design and develop the Cannington CMS to ensure it continues to comply with the South32 Contractor Management Standard
- To coach, assist and support Contract Owners and other key stakeholders to complete and maintain their obligations under the Cannington CMS
- To provide advice and assistance to the Cannington Supply team on Contractor Management requirements and issues.
- To provide feedback and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- To identify and manage system enhancement opportunities
- To manage and maintain the Cannington CMS Support System
ABOUT YOU
You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
- Strong exposure process mapping. Business analysis is ideal.
- SAI Global 360 [G360] (desirable)
- Mine site experience would be highly regarded
- Drafting procedures, contract administration and experience coaching
Qualifications for this position are:
- RIIPRM501E Implement, rectify, monitor and report on contracts workshop (desirable)
