Roster: Monday to Friday

The primary purpose of this role is to support the contracts and procurement function for FFI, assisting the Studies and Projects team in the development of FFI’s Portfolio opportunities, from initiation to investment , and the execution of FFI’s major renewables projects internationally.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to ongoing development and implementation of Project contracting plans.
  • Support the development, coordination, and evaluation of tender packages for pre-feasibility, feasibility and execution phases of Projects including studies for engineering, environmental, social, site investigations, construction, and procurement contracts.
  • Support the Senior Contracts and Procurement in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, to support project schedule and budget.
  • Identify and evaluate key risks at a contract formation and seek input from other functions as appropriate (e.g. technical, legal etc.)
  • Develop well written, well-structured contract and recommendation documentation that supports the project requirements.
  • Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities.
  • Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activity to meet organisational compliance requirements.
  • Contract administration to support studies, front end engineering and execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment.
  • Work as part of the team to deliver value through competitive sourcing and effective contract management.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • +5 years’ experience in Contracts within major projects and/or energy industries (renewable energy experience desirable)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple packages
  • Good attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, law, or construction economics and management desirable.
  • Chartership by recognised body (e.g. RICS, CIPS or Legal) (not essential)
