Contracts and Procurement Specialist – Technology

Work Location: Perth

Roster: Monday to Friday (part time or job share options can be considered) 

Joining FFI's Corporate Contract & Procurement team and reporting to the Senior C&P Specialist - Technology, the Contracts and Procurement Specialist – Technology is responsible for operational day to day software sourcing activities, development of Master Services Agreements (MSA) and provision of Technology and Digital lifecycle management in support of FFI’s global activities.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Conduct sourcing activities for new software purchases
  • Perform renewal reviews and provide internal stakeholders recommended commercial option(s)
  • Identify licenses commonly purchased to leverage buying power (enterprise agreements)
  • Develop, coordinate and evaluate tender packages for Technology and Digital initiatives
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions in support of project schedules and budgets
  • Develop well written, well structed procurement documentation that supports recommendations, approvals and contract variations
  • Perform close out activities at end of contract lifecycle
  • Identify and maximise costs savings opportunities and reduce contract leakage
  • Provide reporting and analysis supporting the ongoing development of Technology Category
  • Proactively identify risks (including how to treat such risks) when procuring Technology, particularly as they relate to the performance of vendor obligations and Service Levels, where applicable seek input from internal specialist functions
  • Actively promote education of the procurement process and governance with all other interfacing disciplines, both internal and external

Qualifications and skills required:

  • University degree in commercial/business related discipline highly desirable 
  • At least 3 years experience in contracting processes or software licensing processes, preferred but not essential in Technology and Digital sourcing solutions
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
  • Required to be commercially astute and familiar with the fundamentals of contract processes
  • Organised, able to work in a fast paced environment across multiple activities and prioritise
  • Proactive, with high level of attention to detail
