About The Role
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring the mine environment both on surface and underground. You will manage and control the shift communication and monitoring strategies to enable safe and efficient operations to occur. This role is to provide CRO leave coverage and when not operating on shift you will be deployed on day shift assisting the Control Room Operator. You will provide accurate information at all times, keeping the shift Undermanager aware of any arising issues encountered on shift, including any emergency response required. As an exceptional communicator, you are the key point of communication within the mine form a production and safety perspective.
What You’ll Bring
- Advanced knowledge of CITEC/SCADA
- Working knowledge of underground coal mining operations
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to prioritise in a high-pressure environment
- Advanced level of computer literacy, particularly with MS Office
- Expert knowledge of emergency response and first aid equipment and a commitment to health and safety standards
- Exceptional communication skills
