ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role is a Permanent full-time position on a continuous shift roster that may occasionally require periods of time working 7-day worker roster.

Based at our Worsley Refinery, it’s a short drive from Collie (20 Minutes), Bunbury (45 Minutes), and other nearby scenic communities.

With no accommodation available on site, you will be required to drive in and out daily, and ideally live within an hour’s drive of Collie.

As the Control Room Specialist, you will be responsible for safely executing production activities from the Central Control Room and monitor the Refinery Operations.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

• Manage process parameters, and collaborate and coordinate with the Area Operational teams to achieve safe daily production targets
• Safely execute production tasks and undertake/implement improvement project work to enhance performance of the Central Control Room and the Refinery Operations
• Provide technical troubleshooting to improve refinery performance against Key Value Drivers
• Provide training and standardisation of performance across shift teams and support the Precipitation & Hydrate Classification Areas (Area 3). 

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: 

• Knowledge of Bayer and operational experience within an Alumina Refinery
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Capability in analysing and interpreting complex data
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and work under pressure
• Skilled in problem solving and fault finding
