Join Iron Bridge’s high-performing Maintenance team and lead the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our critical materials handling conveyor systems.
As Conveyor Maintenance Superintendent, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for maintaining conveyor infrastructure across the crushing, grinding, and air classification circuits. You’ll drive maintenance strategies that maximise equipment availability, improve reliability, optimise costs, and uphold the highest safety standards.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by leading a large maintenance portfolio, developing high-performing teams, and delivering reliability improvements across a complex conveyor network while managing key contractor partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership and accountability.
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams to drive performance, engagement, and capability.
- Maximise conveyor reliability and equipment availability through effective maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Deliver planned shutdowns, major repairs, and conveyor belt replacement programs safely and efficiently.
- Manage maintenance budgets, forecasts, and contractor performance to achieve cost and commercial targets.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Plan
Qualifications and Experience
- Extensive leadership experience in mining, minerals processing, bulk materials handling, or heavy industry maintenance.
- Proven ability to lead large maintenance teams and contractors in a continuous processing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in conveyor systems and associated equipment.
- Demonstrated success delivering major shutdowns, maintenance programs, and reliability improvements.
- Experience managing maintenance budgets, resources, and financial performance.
- Strong safety leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, supported by a trade, engineering, or equivalent qualification.
