Ashton - Owned by Yancoal, Ashton is an underground mine and coal handling preparation plant located in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of NSW.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced conveyor engineer with project experience to join our Reliability and Projects team at Ashton Coal Operation. Some key areas of responsibility and tasks include: • Medium to long term equipment planning • Machine reliability optimisation • Management of medium and large-scale conveyor system projects and overhauls • Providing engineering support to other process areas of the business as required
Skills and Experience
- Degree/diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) highly desirable or minimum trade qualification
- Experience using SAP
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within an underground coal environment
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Proven people management skills, mentoring and leadership skills
- Familiarity with FMECA, RCA, RMC and / or other similar processes
