ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position (DIDO) from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (45 minutes) and other nearby scenic communities.  

Reporting to the Superintendent Capital Execution, as the Coordinator, Capital Execution (Electrical), you will be responsible for providing strong execution leadership and coordination throughout the Execution Phase of Capital Projects, to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of the capital pipeline.

In addition, providing knowledge and insight into the initial scoping and planning of projects in the Pre-Feasibility and Feasibility stage to ensure that projects are set up for success in the Execution Phase.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to: 

  • Coordinate the safe and efficient execution of multi-disciplined project work within the capital portfolio across the mine, refinery and port.
  • Provide assurance and verification that works are being completed in line with approved work design, scopes, budget, governing industry and company standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the area owners and project specialists such that process, or work areas are prepared, isolated and ready for construction activities

ABOUT YOU 

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:  

  • A sound technical knowledge within the electrical trade discipline, systems/materials/work methods;
  • Supervisory experience desired (Section 44/Schedule 26)
  • Demonstrated practical experience coordinating projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in effective contractor management;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literate with exposure to applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and SAP

Qualifications for this position are:  

  • Electrical Trade Certificate
